Above Deck Thermal Insulation
ENSOLCOMP are Thermal Insulation Foam Boards, comprised of an Expanded Polystyrene EPS foam core strengthened with high-strength alkaline-resistant fiberglass fabric and a reinforced proprietary cementitious coating. These ventilated foam boards are manufactured with ingenious, Patent Pending Built-in "AIRFLOW" channel ventilation technology. The Foam Boards have a thermal insulation value of R-7.69 and are applied on top of an existing solid wood deck OSB or CDX plywood and directly under asphalt shingles, which significantly reduces the thermal energy transference at the point of external energy entry, arranged in multiple tiers of courses running vertically to the pitch of the roof structure. The ENSOLCOMP boards are manufactured in a ship-lapped fashion to eliminate any thermal break in the system.
Insulating Underlayment
Our Insulating underlayment provides an above deck insulation which can be used with most common roofing products like asphalt shingles and roof tiles. The concept is to keep the heat out of the attic space which will drastically keep A/C ducts cooler, therefore less energy to cool down your home.
